Cosmetic Product Listing

In addition to facility registration, MoCRA requires each cosmetic product to be individually listed with the FDA, including a full ingredient disclosure using INCI nomenclature. We prepare and submit all your product listings accurately.

Individual Product Listing

Each cosmetic product must be listed separately with the FDA under MoCRA. We submit each product listing with all required information.

  • Full INCI ingredient list required
  • Product category classification
  • Professional-use product flagging
  • Responsible Person assignment

INCI Ingredient Verification

MoCRA product listings require ingredients listed by their INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) name in descending order. We verify every ingredient.

  • INCI name verification for each ingredient
  • Descending order confirmation
  • Sub-ingredient disclosure
  • Fragrance & flavor ingredient handling

Multi-Product Portfolio Listing

Every cosmetic product listed under MoCRA must be tied to a Responsible Person, the company or individual whose name appears on the product label. Brands with large cosmetic portfolios rely on us to manage all product listings efficiently, including updates whenever formulations change.

  • Bulk product listing management
  • Formulation change updates
  • Discontinued product removal
  • New product listing submissions

Annual Product Listing Updates

Product listings must be confirmed or updated every year under MoCRA. We manage your complete product listing portfolio renewal cycle.

  • Annual product listing review
  • Updated ingredient submissions
  • New product additions
  • Annual accuracy verification

Cosmetic Product Listing FAQs

What information has to be in a cosmetic product listing?

Each listing needs the product name, intended use, full ingredient list using INCI names in descending order, the facility name and FDA registration number where it’s made, and a label image. This is submitted through FDA’s Cosmetics Direct portal in Structured Product Labeling (SPL) format.

How often do I need to update my product listing?

Every year. MoCRA requires an annual update to confirm your listing is accurate, plus an update any time you make a significant change, such as a new formula, label, or product name. This is separate from facility registration, which renews every two years.

Do I need to list every product separately, or can I list my whole line at once?

Each product must be listed individually. A 10-product line means 10 separate listings, though we manage bulk submissions and ongoing updates as one coordinated process so it doesn’t become 10 separate headaches.

What happens if I launch a new product without listing it?

New products must be listed within 120 days of being marketed in the U.S. Selling past that window without a listing puts the product out of compliance with MoCRA and creates risk of FDA enforcement action.
